Steer Wrestling Schools - March 5-7 & Mar 19-21, 2010 |
Each spring Sounding lake Arena hosts 1-2 steer wrestling schools depending on student demand. These schools give the beginner to the experienced steer wrestler the opportunity to improve and develop their steer wrestling skills. The school includes a weekend, starting Friday evening with learning skills on a practice dummy horse & steer, followed by a Saturday and Sunday with opportunities to jump steers with video replay. All meals and accommodations are included with tuition.
Instructed by Darren Zieffle - CFR qualifier
Darren is a well experienced steer wrestler who was been instructing clinics for many years. He as a true passion for the sport and enjoys helping other who wish to pursue steer wrestling, whether a beginner or more experience steer wrestler. Special care is taken to select stock that is conducive to the learning of the students. During the school stock will be individually picked for each student depending on there level. Special care is taken to make sure that students learn proper technique and take proper safety precautions. |

Tie Down Roping School - March 26-28, 2010 |
Each spring Sounding Lake Arena hosts a tie down roping school. This allows the beginner to the experienced tie down roper, the opportunity to improve their roping and tying skills. The school includes a weekend, starting Friday evening with learning skills on a practice dummy as well as tying from the post, followed by a Saturday and Sunday with opportunities to watch themselves with the video replay. All meals and accommodations are included with tuition.
Instructed by Darren Zieffle - 9 time CFR qualifier and 1993 Canadian Champion
Darren is a well experienced tie down roper and roping it is his true love. He was been instructing clinics for many years. He has a deep passion for the sport and enjoys helping others who wish to pursue tie-down roping, whether a beginner or more experience roper.
